Einstein was right…

einstein sticking out his tongueAfter years of “learning” and learning about education in school, we found Einstein to be particularly astute about that universe too.  Our hats off to him.
“The only thing that interferes with my learning is my education.”

especially when the students live by the credo…

“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”
After many “issues” occurred, blamed on the curious learners with exactly the attributes a curious learner should have, but were unacceptable for some reason, we finally realized that…
“It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education.”
Even when armed with that insight and the insight of many others who well understand school education, we tried a school that was supposed to be appropriately enlightened.  It wasn’t, creating the situation of:
“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
It only makes sense to forego said insanity and use homeschooling to expand our learning universe instead.  We wanted to avoid, among others, the problematic issues that result when:
“Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.”
After all,
“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
and:
“We have to do the best we can. This is our sacred human responsibility.”
and when schooling prevents that achievement in learning, then
Everything that is really great and inspiring is created by the individual who can labor in freedom.”
